The Office of the Director of Audit is a constitutional and independent Office that reports to Parliament through the Minister of Finance.
Our values guide us in achieving our vision and mission; guide our day-to-day actions, serve as a constant reminder of our commitments; are a statement of the high standards we hold in conducting ourselves and our work; and the results we strive to achieve.
The Director of Audit is the independent auditor of government, acting on behalf of the citizens, through Parliament, and it is on her investigation that the Parliament relies for assurance about the fairness and regularity of the Public Accounts and Financial Statements of the Statutory Bodies. In the exercise of her duties, the Director of Audit must be free of obligations to any individual or institution and free from fear of arbitrary dismissal or retaliation.
